Re: Oil again flirting with $100 per barrel
I remember when I was in high school, in the summer between 9th and 10th grade, and it was the first summer I had a vehicle and a license to drive, so I was really looking forward to traveling around the local area with friends for the first time.
I remember prices first started going up then. It was $1.49 a gallon then. I went into the local Chevron and people were freaking 'cause "I heard it could be up around $2 a gallon by August!"
It's so funny now looking back. People would offer up their first born daughter to white slavery for $2 a gallon gas today.

Haha.... yeah. I remember all the way back in '99 when smokes were $2.25 a pack and I was shocked that gas was $.95/gallon.
Back when I was a yute, I could get a pack of smokes or a gallon of gas for less than a buck each. Even at that cheap, I still stole both.
