i was worried about quality 2
was waiting til i heard reports before taking a punt on it. it being gnr i thought it'd fk up n crash & still charge me for the privilege.. good to hear. i'll prob watch this one today so..

Yer i dont mind paying its good audio pic is ok too
Frankly this should've been free.
Although the show was filmed VERY nicely, the audio & picture quality was better with Rio IV, which was free on YouTube.
I don't think i'd pay more than I did, but it'd be nice if they upgraded to HD. The picture quality was fucking atrocious. No one will be able to turn that into a DVD, unless the quality improves on playback later today.

..what a rare photo. Axl playing guitar on 'Maddy"live in Rio 2001, He wrote all the gtr parts, including lead gtr. I recorded him playing lots of awesome guitar parts back then, I don't think people know what an original and cool guitar player he really is,....those were fun times.
Also, Buckethead and Paul Tobias are truly awesome

I don't think he's on twitter, as far as I know. I seem to recall some of his posts coming from facebook in the past.

It was interesting due to the fact that Pitman comments very favorably on Ax's guitar skills and that Axl wrote the guitar parts for Maddy. If you recall, Sorum mentioned once that Axl was a very good guitar player. Now, that Maddy performance does nothing to convince me, but he may be a decent player in a studio setting.

Interesting indeed. Sure most of us new he played a few secs of guitar on that performance and I read somewhere that he had taken some "guitarlessons" from some guy.
Would be even more interesting to know what guitarparts he wrote on ChiDem (and the past). Is it specified in the album credits who wrote the guitarparts? (I'm at work, so can't check right now...)
I allways figured that since Axl have always surrounded himself with top guitarists that THEY wrote ALL the guitarparts. Pitman's comment kinda points to that not always being the case... Hmmm..

axl also wrote the rhythm part of Dead Horse did he not?
MAddy sounds cool but IMO its hardly some insane guitar riff like some people think
