3 close shaves/incidents while driving in under a week
1. Car breaks in front of me, blinking left. Very foggy outside. I break to, wait for his left turn. Doesn't happen. Don't want cars slamming into the back of me, so I move into a bus stop on the right to pas. While I do this, and while the other car still blinks left, it suddenly moves over to the right and into the bus stop. I manage to throw the car around the moving car. Bloody hell.
2. Mid-day, slippery, narrow countryside road. I go into a quick bendy turn to find out that a car has STOPPED in the middle of the turn. With no place to go but to the left I sneak the car around the stopped car. If a car had showed up, coming towards us, I would have had no place to go and either smashed the stopped car, or driven off the road. Turns out the car stopped there simply to talk to a pedestrian....
3. Worst winds in 30 years. Electricity out. We're at my brothers house, leaving around 01:00 in the morning. Extremely icy on the roads. We drop off a friend and his girl and start to drive home. Have to drive 30 kmt as it is so damn slippery. Luckily, I manage to stop when we discover two huge tress across the road. Have to turn back, find another way. 5 minutes later and we see yet another tree halfway fallen down on a electricity cable. I can drive under it, and I do as I'm scared that if I start turning around, I will start slipping on the surface and may have to drive backwards under the fallen tree (steep hillside road). We get under. 3 minutes later and I have to break yet again, missing another big tree in the road by inches. Again we back up and turn around, getting stressed that we may not make it home at all due to these trees. Again under the halfway fallen tree. Go back where we came from, past my friends house, superbly slippery, three Israelis in the car terrified beyond what any rocket attack can do (funny that).
Manage to get back in one piece.
Something tells me I shouldn't be driving

Got into another one yesterday, very slow speed. Turned into a parking lot in 10-15 kmt. Pure ice on the ground. I tried to turn the car, but it just kept sliding towards another parked car. Ended up with less than a meeter to spare. Would have been expensive even if it was slow speed. I shouldn't drive.
