Didn't the last time they record/re-record for CD was in NYC at Electric Ladyland? I'm just thinking that DJ mentioned about re-recording guitar parts for the next album. They wouldn't be writing an entire new album, shit's basically done.
....or they're just there to play some gigs

I have the ability to travel to NYC if needed for a show but I'd need a little notice.
If they're planning on just doing a bunch of "surprise shows" that'll suck for a lot of real fans of the band that could've seen the shows.
Yeah I agree! If I lived anywhere near NYC, this sort of stuff would frustrate me BIG TIME!

Me too, again. I am 20 minutes from the city and was so pissed about the last round of shows for the hipster bullshit crowds. And my birthday is this month, a GNR show in a small club would be the best gift ever.
