and I'm calling bullshit on a couple of items.
First, is talking about being upset that he did not know anything about playing on the American Music Awards.  Steven makes a remark about keeping  Patience an acoustic number and did not need a drummer.  Did Steven forget that he played drums on Patience during the 88 tour???

Second, he claims that he had no idea that they were going to play Civil War and Down On The Farm at Farm Aid.  I went back and watched the show again, there is a moment where Steven does look like he does not know what is going on right before Civil War.  I can't even believe that on a big show like this with time schedules and live tv that they would never discuss what they were going to play.  he also said that he had no idea how Down on The Farm went, but yet it seems to me he knew where the fills and  breaks were  pretty well.

Just my 2 cents worth.  What do you think???

I've watched the Farm Aid 1990 performance over and over and Steven looks like he's "all there".

I call bullshit too..
By the way, searching for Down on The Farm live I've found the 2006 performance at the Forum... Then I lost a few minutes watching the whole concert...
Fuck, end-of-2006 Axl was GREAT... I mean, there's the visuals (except for the braids), there's the form, power in the voice (even with gasps here and there, but that's Axl live) and great attitude (normally positive  but still pissed, if you know what I mean)...

what a momentum was lost by not releasing CD then...

Yep, 2006 was the best band of it's time pre-CD to have rolled out the album and promoted it. Fall 2006 was the last shot, and they blew it.
