Yeah, I think I would be.  I mean, on the one hand, it shows Axl's allegiance to the new guys.  But I don't see how this helps their image going forward.  People are so pissed at Axl right now, they may take it out on the other band members, if they even still care enough to take it to that level.

Like I said before, Axl is doing his best to let everyone know that a reunion is not in the cards.  The sooner everyone accepts that, hopefully the band can move forward with whatever fans they have left.

The sad part is the band is actually really cool and yet Axl's antics will no doubt create and has created a lot of hate directed their way. they are more "hacks" today than they've ever been and when all the articles come out saying "Guns N' Roses were inducted minus Axl Rose" the line of thinking is gonna be the REAL Guns N' Roses was inducted while Axl jerks off to FAKE Guns N' Roses.

I think Axl's letter has done more harm than anything. Like I said earlier I was really suprised to see friends on facebook talking about this without me initiating it or even being part of the conversation. Then the amount fo commenst they were getting on their status and links was nuts.  Before Axl was just a  dick, today people seemed to genuinely hate him. Not cool and again he brought it all on himself.

I mean look at the Gn'R facebook page haha! That's a fan page 10 Unreal the amount of hate and disgust being thrown Axl's way and unfortunately the new lineup gets thrown into the mix. Good job Axl.

3000 comment hes getting grilled to the max is he gonna be game enough to take the stage again id be wearing a bullet proof vest i reckon

You have more patience than I do. I'd get sick of him. His pretentious vibe would drive me nuts. The fact he comes off as though he genuinely feels his words carry more weight and have more substance than the average person irritates me.  You can see it in his letter, the guy thinks he's above everyone and everything. Plus I'd lose my mind listening to him blame everyone and everything else for everything. And you know he would.

I'd find him interesting but man when he goes into though long winded confusing answers it would drive me nuts like Bono.  The weird thing is half of his prose is pretty straightforward but then he just goes off on these long tangents and I just get confused.  Sometimes simpler is better.

I do feel sorry for those people who shelled out a lot of money to attend the HOF ceremony though.  I'm talking about the casual fans who haven't really followed the saga since 1995 or so.

The hate you describe on FB is nothing new at all. There was even a post on FB before from GN'R about it. This is not new.

Ladies and gentlemen... this should be Bono's "About Me" description here at Evo.

In Axl's defence I do believe all these things about him that people don't like are also the muse and drive for the stuff about him (and that he's done) that we do like. To an extent I think the guys personality is what it is you know, he's a creative genius and those people are often really hard to deal with in conventional terms.

Seeing as we're having fun bashing at the moment though...I want to elaborate on what someone said earlier...

Fuck Izzy man.

Boo Hoo. Slash is a junky and Axl is a power maniac. I have to quit the band and become a nomad. Fuck man - he should have hung in there - encouraged the guys to clean up and the 4 of them should have fucking told axl he can have all the hissy hits he wants but he's not getting control of the partnership. But no - he has to quit and play go carts.

But no - not content with pissing on his fame, wealth and holy status by derailing the power balance in one of the greatest bands of all time - the mother fucker has to go do it again.

That's right. He quits Velvet Revolver before it was velvet revolver. Fuck IZZY! Boo hoo - they want a singer and it will remind me of my tears about Axl! Fuck! What did that cause indirectly? The band goes and hires dave who brings a lot of mod riffs and starts getting Slash to play through fender amps. Izzy you bastard. Then they go and choose scott. Izzy would have stopped that - but no - he's off washing his socks or something cos he apparently has something better to do than to assemble a super group with 4/5 of the most holy group known to man kind.

And now....after causing the end of the world twice..where is young Izzy...oh...he's too big to come to RRHOF. Fuck that shit. At least Axl has the excuse of being a loon. Fuck man - call axl what we do but he's always been that way - and let's be fair - if he did come he prob would feel the need to smash a bottle on Slash or something - so it's fair enough to excuse himself.

But what's izzy's story? Oh god...it's so sad to have been in GNR...the terrible times he had dealing with superstardom and having to play with people of the caliber of Axl and Slash in his band....it's so sad that someone else in the band has an argument that he can't even show up to his own damn party.

Damn you izzy...phone up Axl and get him back in line, reassemble GNR because you are secretly the one who killed it, or, if you can't find his cell number in your bus full of gypsy wares, damn it - phone slash and duff - rejoin VR and stop ruining our humble existence.

And in conclusion let me just say - Izzy I love you - but if you do not turn up to the rock and roll hall of fame then FAARRRRKKK.....Damn you Izzy.
