Well I know now why I didn't hear about the Batman marathon thingy. I checked around and like Tejas... it's no where near me. Not even close.
So it comes down to this. Do you drive a long ass way for the marathon? Or do you spend the money and drive a long ass way for the IMAX? Or do you just fuck it, and drive 10 minutes for the regular HD flick?
I'm a fan, but i'm getting grumpy in my old age, and sitting in a chair that fuckin' long wrecks my back. I dunno

Hathaway seems an awful choice for Catwoman. Fully expecting that aspect to bomb.
Otherwise hopeful to see a summer movie for once that's actually entertaining. The last few years have been utter dread.
I was unimpressed by the Hathaway casting as well, but they supposedly turned away some pretty big names and talented actresses so they must have seen something in her.
I think she'll play a much bigger part in this film than Maggie did in TDK (which I also think was a casting error) so if she does bomb it's going to be far more noticeable.
Russ- I think there's a lot more in IMAX in this film, TDK had like 6 scenes in IMAX whereas there's supposed to be about a third of this film in IMAX.

Yeah that's fair enough. I went to see TDK on Imax after seeing it twice in the cinema and it blew me away, it was like watching it for the first time again. Obviously none of BB would be in Imax so you'd be paying extra for nothing in that sense.

IMAX is a type of special effect display that enhances the sound and picture quality of a particular film or specific scenes. It's been around for a good number of years.

As for Hathaway, I was abit confused that they picked her when there are a ton of better actresses out there for the role; but from what I've seen in the trailers I think she could pull it off. Even though the costume isn't mind blowing or original.

Actually the marathon is at my local theater. IMAX is a long ass distance, but it's totally worth it for me. I did it for TDK and had no regrets. Getting to see an hour of IMAX footage on a real IMAX screen will be great.
