Seen it at 9:AM this morning. Loved it. It's more Batman Begins though than Dark Knight, except when the set pieces start.

Bruce is actually only in the Batman costume for about 15 minutes of film in retrospect.

Weird though having seen the prologue months ago, I could understand Bane and didn't really get the fuss over his voice. Boy though, it was actually pretty distracting at start of film how completely different his voice is in the finished film.

Really wish I seen it in imax though and hadn't read spoilers.

Only few minor misgivings, like Bane's last 10 minutes in film. He goes from complete bad ass to side henchman after the Talia reveal and she doesn't really get enough scenes throughout the film, even though it'd be over 3hrs then. The masterplan of Talia/Bane is way too hole filled. At the end she's trying to blow up city and kill everyone, including herself, why not press button 15 mins earlier or destroy the city while Bruce is in the Prison. The quick fix with robotic knee brace is a way too easy way out too.

Disliked the bomb ending, way too obvious. The JGL bat-cave ending was nicely done.

Without any spoilers whatsoever I'll say this; I liked it a great deal. Not sure yet where it ranks in the films for me as I just saw it a half hour ago. I'll tell ya this, I don't think it's what many are expecting/hoping for.

Are you saying you might have an emotional response because it was so recent?  smile

So sad to hear about the shooting.  Way too much senseless violence all over the world.

I would say go for it since it's best to separate both topics!

Re: The BATMAN Thread

Appreciate it. Now people can discuss the movie and if they liked it or not and  plus their love of the caped crusader and use the shooting discussion to discuss their feelings and reactions to the event; so both don't intertwine. As well as updates from police and the U.S. govt on the aftermath.

Well I just saw it and I think it was fucking awesome! Like Atari said it's more BB than TDK BUT it takes the best of both I thought. This is the best in the trilogy I think.

1. Dark Kight Rises
2. Batman Begins
3. The Dark Kight

I thought the story in this one was pretty darn good. Nothing overly ridiculous and they managed to make it seem incredibly dark. Bane to me was intense. Just had a weird creepy prescence of intimidation. I loved him.  He had way more screen time than the Joker whcih made me think I do wish the Joker had more scenes. Like I said a few posts ago as good as The Joker was Bane confirms to me my belife that The Joker was under utilized.

I'll use the spoiler tag here for those who may not want to know Bane and Batman fight twice. The first fight was insane given the total destruction of Batman and how calm and confident Bane is throughout. It was cool to see a Superhero have his ass handed to him for once. The 2nd fight was great too. Normally it would've been cheesey to see the hero come back and just win round 2 just because he tried harder but they set this up right having an anger and fear motivating Batman for this one. Also Bane's surprise that Batman had come come was cool. Also really cool that Bruce/Batman dies in this. I loved the ending and the teaser for the possibility of a Robin movie in this style. Darka nd serious not fuity and campy. If they did it right it could be good.

All in all I thought it kicked major ass. AND Marion Collitard is so damn hot.

I thought his voice was great. It tiotally added to his intimidation factor.

I liked it. It wasn't like Bane was suddenly a  little bitch. He got his ass kicked by Batman. His badassness wasn't ruined he just got beat up.
