Re: Guns N' Roses Live in London (Airing on Vh1 Classic)
I still find it amazing that Beta could describe Axl as "more than a son" to her. How the fuck would anyone's child really feel about that comment if it came from one of their parents...you'd be gutted.
Hey though, the kids aint't gutted at all! Why? Cause comments like that from Mom helped set everybody up. Cha CHING!
well on that point: there was talk a wee while ago that axl was "more than a son" to her in that they were together.
but i think you're right in that those kinda statements do keep them secure in axl's camp & ensures their access.
obv it's impossible to tell what the situation exactly is, the truth of the matter, but at the same time, we can't be that far off after all we've seen & heard..
anyone ever figure out what Better was meant to mean in relation to Beta?

I see no progress, except that Guns N' Roses are finally becoming a functional tribute band. It's been a disfunctional tribute band in the past years, so you can see it as an achievement, if you wanna be positive.

I can see what you mean.
6 years ago there was no dvds, no website, no streaming, tours were more questionable, no tv interviews and stuff....while this stuff is all sort of expected it does seem that they're finally functioning more like a professional unit.
I think Axl's still got a few great songs left in him too. So it does give me some hope.
I think it's really as simple as what you described in the first paragraph. The activity level is much higher/more regular. It looks like a concert release is finally coming, which I've heard seen people clamor for.
This is all good stuff.

this is getting blown out of proportion.
i don't know who or what buzz is ranting & raving @.
firstly he says it's wonderful he's doing the interview then it's a sham...
all i'm saying is, that on here, i haven't seen anyone "celebrating" or losing the run of themselves w/excitement. most people are approaching it quite rationally imo..

There's nothing normal about this other than it's normal to want/need more money. Maybe it's normal for washed up bands to squeeze out every last dime they can get. To me this is all about $$$$ and the fact that most of it is staying in house. Team Brazil is nothing more than team sham right now. I don't understand how anybody could be that excited about this and I really don't understand how anyone can see this as a step forward. How many times have people said "well, maybe this is the first step..." and nothing happens?
Axl Rose's big comeback is on Kimmel? I mean is he going on right after the latest person to get booted from Dancing with the Stars (another venue for washed up celebs or c-listers)? Why Kimmel?Surely Letterman or Leno would love to have him. He could do one of the morning shows in Times Square before going to bed in the morning.
People are sitting here celebrating and calling this "normal" and I'm sitting here going none of this makes any sense if there's any sort of an effort made to move forward. None. I have no idea what you are seeing if you see progress.
We've all said for years that Axl should be out doing interviews and now he's going to do a live tv interview. How is that not progress?
Other than the fact that he's not doing a live tv interview?
