james dean bradfield was the guy to replace slash. woulda been amazing. i always believed that. even now i'd swap him for BBF & DJ in a heartbeat. perhaps the most underrated british guitarist there's been & one of the best without doubt.

they are one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
a phenomenal back catalogue - loads great pop hits & a handful of incredible albums.

& like most great bands, there's a couple of absolute twats in the band! (yea, i'm talking about nicky wire! great great songwriter, but a bit of a tool nonetheless!)

i saw them a couple of times & they always put on a blistering rock show. caught them around the time they did their b-sides collection, got to see them do It's So Easy, was p awesome.

Really?  Wow that would have been amazing. His guitar playing is obviously great, but his songwriting too is immense. I'd also swap him out in a moment.

I've never actually seen them. I would love to.

Never heard of them, though looking at my scores in SongPop that isn't too surprising...

Wow. I envy you. I would love to be hearing them for the first time.
There are mixed opinions out there about this BUT, I love their rocked up version of Umbrella

The video isn't official it's godawful

And of course Design for life is a total classic intercourse:

I love the pure cynicism of their music, almost a mixture of Soundgarden and the Verve with the guitar chops of someone like Slash
