Saw Sinister this week- thought it was pretty meh. I chose it over Paranormal Activity 4 because that got pretty cruddy reviews.

Sinister had some good ideas; but it just overindulged in horror cliches too often.

To me [Bruce Willis'] finest is Moonlight selected episodes, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys, 6th Sense, Unbreakable and now Looper.

I see England, I see France, I see Maddie's Netherworld is probably the best of the bunch. izzy

Saw Skyfall last night, liked it a lot, much better than QoS (not hard). I wouldn't say it's as good as Casino Royale but it's a close run thing. A few nice nods to Bonds of the past for the 50th anniversary. Bardem is an excellent villain, camp yet menacing in equal measure. Loved the films climax as well, not a traditional Bond finale in that it felt more like Bond meets Home Alone for a period, but I liked it all the same. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Ralph Fiennes in the next films as well.

Because I'm largely a see-it-at-home guy these days, I finally saw Cabin in the Woods. I really liked it- especially the second half.

Here's what's funny- other than the friends trapped in the woods with something supernatural going on, I had NO idea there was the whole govt twist angle. I don't see many commercials because I time shift, so that whole piece of the plot was a complete surprise to me. That made the movie all the better, so I think I was lucky in that respect.

Wreck It Ralph is such a fun ride of a film for families and just regular individuals. Loads of video game references and related places to look out with humor provided by great voice acting to boot. I won't spoil the goodies.

Yeah, I normally steer clear of family films because "not all are created equal", but Wreck It Ralph looks really funny and targeted somewhat to my generation. Been really wanting to see that. I'll wait until home video, but it looks awesome nonetheless.

It was quite an awesome film that was well put together and wasn't just a cash grab. Disney animation stepped up and they made a film better than the last few Pixar films that have came out. Love the cameos and some of the humor can be a little kiddish; but the characters and game worlds more than make up for that. There is heart to the film and it was made by people that like video games and actually care about the material. Yeah I understand. I'm definitely going to pick it up once it's comes out on Blu Ray/DVD too.

Saw it Friday night with some friends. So much better than Quantum. Everyone should go see it. Adele's theme fits so perfectly with this film and the opening credit scenes. They made Craig more like-able as Bond to me in this film. Action scenes, drama, and some wise cracks were executed at the right times.

Looking forward to this one. Phoenix is one of my favorite actors and Anderson is perhaps the best young director today.
