I always thought of Roger Water's era Floyd on Sorry and Russ whether you think it sounds like it or not. It's not the first time it's been discussed here .

I happened to come across the old (awful) musicradar review of CD today and saw this quote about Sorry:
"'Influenced' by Pink Floyd is one thing. 'Xeroxing' them is quite another.
I'm a HUGE Floyd fan and the thought of Floyd has never, ever crossed my mind when listening to Sorry. Am I alone on that?
The only part that ever registered as Floyd for me was really that guitar solo by Bucket. Otherwise, no, especially not with that Sabbath-esque guitar riff during the choruses. So, I always thought that "xeroxing" comment was off-base and myopic in scope.

And what "Waters era Floyd" are you referring to? That phrase covers a ton of different musical styles.
"The Wall" albeit with Axl's attitude.
