Kings of Chaos adds extra CT show
Rock legends supergroup heading to SA
Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach will be replaced by Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge for the Kings of Chaos concerts in South Africa, it was announced on Tuesday.
Rock legends supergroup Kings of Chaos is performing in Cape Town on 7 and 8 June at the Grand West Grand Arena, and at the Sun City Superbowl, North West, on 15 and 16 June.
Known for his vocal, guitar playing and song writing abilities, Myles Kennedy is best known for his work with rock band Alter Bridge, as well as being the lead vocalist in guitarist Slash's solo project, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
When Guns n Roses were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, Myles Kennedy was chosen as the vocalist to front the band in the live performance on the night. He is currently at work on the fourth upcoming and untitled Alter Bridge album, as well as his first ever solo album.
Rock anthems
Kings of Chaos consists of Guns N' Roses rock stars Slash, Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke and Duff "Rose" McKagan as well as Def Leppard's Joe Elliot and Vivian Campbell, Deep Purple and Black Country Communion's Glenn Hughes and Collective Soul's Ed Roland.
Collectively, these artists have sold in excess of 300 million albums worldwide and together they have penned many of the most defining rock anthems of all time.
Kings of Chaos will perform some of their greatest hit songs in a two-hour display of frenzied guitar riffs, pounding drums, resonating bass and trademark raspy vocals.
Tickets for Cape Town are priced from R445 and R375 for Sun City and are available at Computicket.

Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
Do they buy Myles his own plane ticket, or does he just sneak around in Slash's suitcase you think?
It's intriguing that there is no explanation why Myles replaces Baz. Baz will be touring somewhere else? Will he be recording? Or he wanted to save his friendship with Axl (and also protect possible future touring money)? Or Slash doesn't wanna work with "Axl's puppet"? Or Slash only wanna work with Myles? Or...?

VR is trying out new vocalist candidates as King of Chaos
I was thinking the same thing, Slash eluded to that in a recent interview about KOC. Doesn't make sense to have Myles in VR though. Ideally, for Slash anyway, VR would be something he did while Myles is with AB. Doesn't work out so well if Myles is also in VR.

Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
Obviously this isn't official...But I would heavily guess that Baz jumped ship when he found out Slash was going to be part of this.
Reasoning:
1. After being rejected in the previous VR auditions baz seemed a little offended. He commented he likes his new music more than theirs. It's one thing for him to play with Matt and Duff alone...as it's still sort of a general supergroup and they can be like "hey it wasn't us who didn't want you" - but when you add in Dave and Slash it's fully VR again. If he's not good enough to front VR properly, why is he good enough to front VR in KOC.
2. Sebastian has stated in other interviews that since he and Axl re-connected he's not sure he would betray his friendship with Axl by joining VR. He went on to say about the world tours axl's taken him on and so forth.
So my guess is as soon as Baz found out Slash was part of it....he walked.

I'd say of those 2 options, I'd go with #2. I wouldn't buy #1 much, Baz would jump at the chance to perform with Slash and the ex-GNR/VR guys all at once. I think he'd love nothing more. IF it wouldn't piss Axl off, and it very well might. So that may give him pause. But I don't think he holds any grudges against Slash or any of the other guys for not getting the VR gig.

Now, that`s what I call faceless and spineless puppet.
Re: Myles replaces Bach in Kings of Chaos
That's really strange that no reasoning is given. Leads one to speculate on potential Reasons as you guys above have.
Gotta say I'm kinda disappointed, I was interested to see where this might go. I don't mind Bach's voice and his recent albums. So mixing him with Slash et al would be interesting.
