Dr Pepper will give everyone in America a free soda (Slash and Buckethead excepted) if Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy album comes out this year.
A perspicacious Dr Pepper person proclaimed: "We completely understand and empathise with Axl's quest for perfection - for something more than the average album. We know once it's released, people will refer to it as 'Dr Pepper for the ears' because it will be such a refreshing blend of rich, bold sounds - an instant classic.'

anyway someone over @ mygnr says that Kaneda is involved in this...dont know much about him other than his reputation but maybe some of our mygnr people can shed some light on his motives

Yeah, it was me who called out Kaneda.
I spoke to Chris last night and he seemed to say it was legit. I started telling people it was fake but looking at what Madison has said and how fast this is spreading - I may regret it (telling people it was fake) now though.:/
My two cents are that it's real but GN'R (camp) is not involved (or possibly(?) even aware).

Maybe it's me but, I just can't see Dr Pepper giving out free soda to thousands of millions of people for album.
Until I hear it officially from Dr Pepper themselves, I ain't buying it.

Just saying they're namedropping all the right people. Chris Kooluris is working for a PR company called Ketchum and Jaxie Alt has ties to Dr. Pepper. According to Google, at least. A bit risky business to use real people and companies in a hoax and put their contact details up.
Doesn't validate it, though. It's rather easy to dig up a press release to get the proper formatting and insert your bogus story of the week.
