I look horrible because we were doing a remote outside the arena in the freezing cold wind, but it's still me with Carrie, and that's all that matters!

I had my convocation pictures done by a guy in my class... I have to say, his work is horrible... My dad's a photographer, I'll get him to do some nice portraits on convocation day. This is the best of the lot, and there's a glare on my glasses... At least my mouth's not all screwed up like the rest. Ah well, I'm not ordering prints, I'll just use it for the yearbook.

A convocation is what we call a graduation ceremony for university students. I'm not sure why, but that's what we call it around here. Stupid Newfies, I know.

whats with the fluffy shoulderpad thingies?
is that like a habs playoff ritual or something?
I know, it's the cheesiest thing ever. That's part of the hood. There's the gown, and then they put this thing down over your shoulders. When you graduate or convocate, they "hood" you. Kinda like a reverse-circumcision.

The pic looks enlongated on my comp but it looks like it's a nice pic. I was wondering myself what the fuzzy things were.
