I've heard from sources within the band that a new album is coming this year. Most of the songs are from the Chinese D era. No free dr pepper this time around

Looks like there is at least an intention for new music this year. Won't get any more carried away than that but it's a good sign if nothing else.
That said, if it is all CD stuff (not a big surprise) it does make you wonder why it's taken another 7 years to release essentially finished material.

This info, while intriguing, definitely needs another source before I even remotely consider the possibility of any new music(song or album) in 2015. Yes he orchestrated the Dr Pepper thing but had spewed about 20 tons of bullshit in previous years to that.
It makes sense to wrap up the CD saga now simply because there's no reason to just hold on to that and let it rot in his vault when at least some money can be made off it, plus help fulfill whatever contract he has with Uni.
APE is right though....considering that it will have to be songs from those 2000-07 sessions, the past 7 years were a complete creative waste.

I thought Kaneda was just an attention seeking troll? The guy also posts on a forum called pinside (it's the same dude) and much the same as in the GN'R community it appears the guy simply craves attention.
