When my wife comes walking out and asks me what I'm looking at, I always tell her porn. It's much easier to explain than a GnR forum at 2 in the morning. Just keep your pants down around your ankles, that way it looks more legit.
Great thread. Love the pics. Going to have to make a pilgrimage to this car wash now.. Who'd have thought it'd play such an integral role in the the GnR story.. Mind blowing!

After sifting through sg's issues w/his gf & cramers foolproof excuses I almost missed this! But yea, it seems in around about fashion the big guy has confirmed there's an album being released next year & that cramer'll owe him $20 worth of car wash vouchers. Maybe cramer'll even get a mention in the liner notes of the album..

There was NO DENIAL of a reunion! That in itself is marginally huge, ha ha. Seriously, he could have squashed my dreams, but no, he went all 10,000 maniacs on me and had to "let it linger".

I can confirm that back in 2008 when Dexter signed up here and other places that I had correspondence with Fernando confirming that he signed up the account here on behalf of Dexter/Axl.
I just dragged up the old evidence confirming it and showed it to the other admins here BTW.
First of all, some funny shit in this thread. An enjoyable read for once, good to see. That's not a knock on the board, just emphasizing what SG said, it's good to see everyone in a cheerful mood.
It could've been Axl. Nothing would surprise me with this band. We all know to expect the unexpected at this point in the game. It's also quite possible it was Fernando or someone tied to Axl just having a little fun with us. Obviously they read the boards and know what's being discussed. Fernando was quite active on HTGTH just prior to the Axl/Slash news. Then he went dark, unsurprisingly. He did say they'd have some sort of news to share in a few months though. Maybe we're nearing that time and they're slowly coming back to the surface.
It would appear that the next GNR album is still the plan. Who will be in the band at that point is a different question. Will there even be a lineup to tour or will they just let the music do the talking, so to speak? Slash seemingly has his plans lined up for next year. At the very least it seems that we are closer to a reunion of some sort. It still may be more if then when, but "if" wasn't even in the cards not long ago.
Progress, ever so slightly. The GNR way. But I'll take it! Whatever the next step is, as long as there is a next step.
