Early catch was called incomplete because a part of the ball to touched the ground as the receiver caught it...looked close to me and not enough evidence to overturn

"CATCH
A catch is made when a player inbounds secures possession of a pass, kick, or fumble in flight (See 8-1-3).
Note 1: It is a catch if in the process of attempting to catch the ball, a player secures control of the ball prior to the ball touching the ground and that control is maintained after the ball has touched the ground."

That was a catch by their own definition. Hence why the former head of officiating also thought it should have been a catch.

I get it but watch it again...control wasn't certain until after the ball came in contact with the ground...so ruling on the field stands

Neemo is right, the tip of the ball hit the field, which caused the ball to bobble.

That whole complete a football play is kind of bullshit. It was created so that fumbles after catches were called incomplete to promote scoring. This is the downside. They over think it and now call it incomplete. Not one analyst or former head ref agrees with you guys. Seems like since it was Carolina it is a drop. If it was Denver it would have been a bad call. But the pass was good. He should have caught the ball early instead of bobbling to remove doubt. That was a 27 yard pickup (I think). Next play was a fumble for a TD. See how the ball can bounce weird. One play was a great pass and catch ruled incomplete. Next play a TD. That is a huge momentum swing and kind of falls under "luck", "how the ball bounces" etc. There were too many of those plays where the Panthers did not execute. They EASILY win that game if they just catch the fucking ball.  Despite the pass rush, Catch the Ball!

The ball can his the ground as long as your hand is under the ball... Which it is, and you have control...

Hit the guy in the gut and he bobbled it. The panthers not catching contested balls didn't surprise me as it had happened all year. The guy that really started to ball out was brown and he got hurt. Ginn dropping that one that led the the pick was the dagger. Panthers prob score on that drive and take a 1 pt lead makin Peyton beat them which wouldn't happen IMO.

Cam showed nothing to me to say he could win the game, which he didn't. He quit. Like a deer in headlights from the first quarter. You could see it on his face. The game was bad. Just bad. I think it was the worst quarterback performance in Superbowl history. QBRs of 13 and 10. Horrible. But at least Peyton had enough guts to throw himself on his fumbles.

Not sure if serious. Cam didn't play great but Jesus Christ they had 315 yards of offense... They drove plenty of times and kept turning the ball over. If the receivers catch the ball hard to see them losing. If the catch the ball Broncos don't get that first TD.  I still think that was a catch, point is you can't make mistakes in a game like this. There were 4 HUGE drops. You sound more like a Cam hater than an objective football fan. Peyton was sad to see. He was really bad. But he is a great dude, despite the sexual assault in college and HGH scandal. He is a likeable dude.

SG the picture shows the ball touching the ground...he bobbles it when he rolled over...no possession

I really wasn't going for any team tbh...I'm a brady fan so that alone makes me hate the manning name lol

Ginn has be known for dropping balls his whole career so there is that

Denver D just played out of their minds is all...they brought it...and they got newton frazzled and he crumbled...dude's only young hopefully he builds on it...but that Talib is a dirty fucked. ..that face mask was brutal

Hopefully Peyton calls it quits tho...he's had a rapid decline...be man enough to quit on top

In regards to kaepernick ... I thought San Fran shoulda kept alex smith
