DUFF MCKAGAN's LOADED To Enter Studio This Month

LOADED, the band formed by current VELVET REVOLVER bassist Duff McKagan (on guitar and vocals) after he left GUNS N' ROSES, is currently working on a new, yet-to-be-titled studio album, to be released in the summer, with tours to follow.

Commented McKagan: "I'm currently finishing up the UK/Euro leg on the VELVET REVOLVER tour and we have played some of the most inspired gigs of my lifetime in the last couple of weeks. Been writing a ton of music too and generally have just been wholly re-inspired music-wise."

He added, "LOADED looks to record a follow-up to 'Dark Days' here in late April or so and we are totally looking forward to just hanging with each other again."

LOADED was formed in 1999 and has morphed several times, releasing two albums: 1999's "Live Episode" and 2001's "Dark Days". The group's current lineup includes drummer Geoff Reading (NEW AMERICAN SHAME, GREEN APPLE QUICKSTEP), bassist Jeff Rouse and guitarist Mike Squires (both formerly of ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE).

I don't think it's a joke. Hasn't Duff been saying he was gonna bring back Loaded after this current VR tour for awhile? Anyway, cool for him. I'd give it a listen.

So, the forum is up and rockin'! We are now gonna figure out some way to stream video onto the site so you can all join in the '˜behind the scenes' buffoonery that makes up all things Loaded. We may even put up some rare and un-released jams from days of yore. UK, you up for a late summer/early fall tour? Spain? Italy? VR news: I just left Matt's where we laid down 12 new jams'¦.KILLER! Kick ass people!

Forum and store coming soon!

Hi All I just wanted to let everyone know this site will be running a forum (for you all to start harassing us and send pearls of wisdom) and a store (with all of the newest and grooviest '˜Loaded' merch to floss at
school or work). As far as the forum goes, I was wondering if there would be any vulunteers to be administrators? Does anyone have the time or resource to get this new site linked up with other rock n' roll type sites? My goal is to at least try to keep this site fairly fresh and open-ended so that a positive community can be created and kept up. Let's have some f*@kin fun!

Ps. I want to thank all of the fans in the UK for the amazing turnouts to the Fender '˜in-store' events over the last couple weeks'¦it was pretty overwhelming! Also, for now at least, post replies to the Loaded MySpace site. Thanks again'¦.D

VR in Amsterdam

So I am now at the Amsterdam airport ( its 6 am here!). I am going home!! The tour was totally amazing and obviously tough at times! Will write more soon.
