Re: Zakk Wylde to release Book of Shadows 2
Ive always been a fan the first Book of Shadows. And kinda excited about this. I stopped following BLS and Zakk regularly a few years ago. Just wasn't feeling the new stuff he was putting out. I had always hoped a Hangover Music or Book of Shadows type album would be released. Hopefully it's a good record. Always loved acoustic Zakk. Here is the track list and one song. The album comes in april.
01. “Autumn Changes”
02. “Tears of December”
03. “Lay Me Down”
04. “Lost Prayer”
05. “Darkest Hour”
06. “The Levee”
07. “Eyes of Burden”
08. “Forgotten Memory”
09. “Yesterday’s Tears”
10. “Harbors of Pity”
11. “Sorrowed Regret”
12. “Useless Apologies”
13. “Sleeping Dogs”
14. “The King"

Re: Zakk Wylde to release Book of Shadows 2
I find the problem, is that Zakk releases too much music, too regularly, and overall his music suffers, because there is a lot of average, samey sounding stuff released.
That said, this does sound pretty cool.
I just wish he'd return to the style Pride & Glory, even for just an album. He did that Southern bluesy stuff pretty well.

I like this song Sleeping Dogs... Not bad.
His lead electric tone, hmmm... I mean it is "okay" but honestly it is a shit tone. P & G and Book of Shadows 1 had good lead tone.
Re: Zakk Wylde to release Book of Shadows 2
I picked this album up on friday...
I'm pretty disappointed in it...wish I woulda looked for an album stream on youtube or something...I doubt I'll ever buy anything from Zakk again
Really? I was gonna buy it today? I shouldn't?

Shit that video at top of thread wasn't that bad.
Re: Zakk Wylde to release Book of Shadows 2
The whole album is mellow like that...I was expecting some heavy tunes...but maybe that's the point ...it's released as a solo cuz it's too mellow for BLS
I swear the music on the first tune is exactly the same as Pearl Jam Black rhythm guitar chord progression
