Not cursed, just not a proper team. Collection of individuals some of them selected in roles they're not suited too - sturridge on the wing, Rooney's nowhere. They're panicking here too, so much pressure on them. Their centre back pairing is shite too.
Iceland are a proper team.
The English boys don't fight for each other or cover each other the way good teams do. If England fought for the ball as hard as Iceland do they'd win, but they're standing off letting Iceland off the hook. When England get possession Iceland are thundering into them.
Throw on all their forwards they might break them down.
Or Iceland might hit them on the counter.
Certainly a much more interesting game than I thought it was gonna be, or it looked like immediately after the pen.

England have never won a knockout game at the Euros. It's not like they're playing France.

It was a draw with penalties.
I'm not trying to be a dick, I supported England growing up. The history just doesn't support the hype, for this to be a major shock each time it happens.
This isn't even the golden generation.
Maybe there'll be a late come back.
