Blair Witch. I enjoyed it. I think it needs to be seen in a theater to fully enjoy it, though. The dialogue was terrible, the actors sucked, which was a strength of the original and was the reason they gave the feeling that they were real, there was no script and it was completely spotaneous...this film lacked all of that; it had a script and it felt like it. The Latina actress was really great, though, and I have to say, it took advantage of atmosphere, the sounds were amazing, and kind of felt like a rollercoaster at times, the movie got better as it went on.

I didn't even realize they did a remake. I hated the original and cant imagine this one being worse. When a screener pops up on the torrents I'll have to check it out.
It was actually a sequel, notba remake. Had they not written dialogue and let the kids improvise it would have helped A LOT. Last 30 minutes was really good.

That movie was playing when we crashed a screening drunk once. Was surprisingly easy to get in. Movie was still shit though.
The original had the advantage of posing as real. Without that it's just a run of the mill horror movie.
What a steal that was. A 100 million profit on like a 1000 dollar budget. Maybe they paid for some marketing once it got picked up, but still.

Saw The Guest a few weeks ago since it was on Netflix. Pretty great movie. Very 80s with the soundtrack and it gets over the top towards the end; but it works.

I know. She was perfect.
If she had been guilty it would have been even better. Now she's just a pretty girl who got caught up in the machinations of a deranged police chief. His story is even more entertaining than hers. Some American fiction writer came over to research for a serial killer novel. Ended up with this chief accusing him of being a serial killer.
