Kicks ass. THis will be the first time since the 90s I buy a Metallica album. I'm hoping all the songs are like this and they left any ballads in the vault.
How many singles are they gonna unload before the album's release?

Most people are comparing Atlas Rise to Maiden, but I hear more Dio in there, especially since they did the Dio medley on the tribute album not too long ago.
I guess they wanted an original tune of their own in that vein.
That said, it's a pretty good tune. I think the main thing that is lacking on any of these tunes is a good solo. Each one sounds like a rehash of something I've heard before, just not as good. It's a shame that Kirk spends no time composing good lead melodies anymore

The album leaked today. Good stuff. Some meh stuff and Spit Out The Bone. The song that every track on Death Magnetic wishes it was. Holy fucking HELL. That track could hang with ANY of the pre Black Album stuff. ANY of it.
