Re: US Politics Thread
Me thinks you need to retake English. The 'and' without a comma implies the addition of both. You know "the largest audience both in person, and around the world" would imply each on their own was the largest. The comma was absent. So even the author who transcribed their comments made that distinction.
But keeping focusing on nonsense like this. The gotcha stuff doesn't work.
Both in person and around the world. The correct way was "the largest worldwide vieweing audience to ever watch a presidential inauguration" which still wasn't true. He was specifically pointing out actual attendance at the ignaguration when he made the statement.

And the children and babies who needed lifesaving operations thast were banned from entering?
It was unconstitutional. If you say it was badly rolled out then it should be taken back and done right. Right?
How is telling a random family in Yemen to wait 120 days "unconstitutional"? The family in Yemen with no ties to the US has no "rights". Amazing how hard we fight for the people from the 7 countries and Cuba and can't work out a deal with our Mexican brothers and sisters to get them some Tax ID's etc.

Why would anyone come to the Us for health care when everyone tells me Canada and Europe and everyone else with government health care has better health care than the US?
Stop the conservative spin bullshit. I thought babies lives matter? Don't you want them to come here to be saved? So they can see the top surgeons who can help them? Or are you really that full of shit?

What data do you have that it wasn't the most viewed inauguration? I think we can all concede it was the most viewed and Obama has the most attended.

So now Obama care is to also provide health care all over the world? I thought this is why we have the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. You think a Somali baby comes to the US daily for medical treatment? Sure. Make exceptions for those cases. I am sure they would.

Because the constitution doesn't grant rights it frames the government and the 4th amendment doesn't just protect Americans but "people" (just double checked to be sure) in general, also the ban was specifically targeted at Muslims. It doesn't need to say it, or specify intent, when it has a disproportionate affect on one specific group of people based on religion, etc., which goes against the 14th agreement. The government doesn't have the right to descriminate. Trump's Muslim ban pledge and Rudy's big mouth shows clear intent with the ban, also.

You cannot be that dopey. These children were being brought here by those groups to see specialists and were BANNED. Only you would bring up Obamacare.

No one has that data, that's the point, I can't just say I had the biggest veiwership ever and then say it's your burden to prove me wrong!! The best info says Obama had more streams.
