Re: US Politics Thread
What the hell does that have to do with it not being a law legally passed (in your example, a constitutional amendment was passed)? If your argument is "we shouldn't follow laws we don't like", I can't respond to that, because it's infantile and not realistic. We don't get to pick and choose the laws we follow,
Hmmmmmm, kinda like how all the 2nd ammendment nuts fail to support the 1st ammendment and praise tweets like this:

Imagine if Obama tweeted something like that about guns after Sandy Hook?? People would be calling to impeach him on constitutional grounds.

Surely House Republicans will call for an investigation.
I never supported the Benghazi bullshit. I was upset that they lied and blamed it on a bullshit YouTube video, but the ambassador was warned and stayed. If they realistically thought the marines could have helped, they should have been sent regardless if they believed some marines may die. But that wasn't the case, so casually sending armed marines into a civilian force with no chance of rescuing the Americans, was the right call. Hillary can't be faulted for the State department's response on Benghazi.
But our embassy being taken over is a hell of a lot more severe and concerning than any soldier dying in a combat mission. How many soldiers died last year? Do you even know? It happens fairly regularly even now, and there's no big story about it. That's what soldiers do in war. They kill and harm others while being killed and harmed.
None of us know the details of the operation. So assuming it is something worth of an investigation reaks of political opportunism rather than real concern. If McCain and others on the Armed Services committee have information the entire operation was flawed and somehow illegal, they should investigate. But losing lives and injuries is part of the military's job. There's no one doing it not aware of the risks.

lol. Bill O'Reilly & Fox News - Interviewing "Swedish Defense Officials" because he's got a funny name, a website and a LinkedIn page. So he's legit.

I'm reading more and more about the Trump/Republican tax breaks...and it's looking more like they will be tax breaks for the ultra rich....
Amongst other things - they are proposing getting rid of the local tax deductions for property owners and basically any of the state and local tax write offs.
It's a fucking sham. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/gop- … 55224.html

It's fun to call news sources fake when you don't like what they report...
