The referral, parts of which were declassified Monday, included a reference to "a foreign source [who] gave information to an unnamed associate of Hillary and Bill Clinton, who then gave information to an unnamed official in the Obama State Department, who then gave the information to Steele."

In another section, the referral stated that Steele received information from "a foreign sub-source who is in touch with (redacted), a contact of (redacted), a friend of the Clintons, who passed it to (redacted).'"

Sorry, but this is absurd. What is this Mad Libs?

^^  Link no longer works. Odd, although the URL indicates it's an "Opinion" piece, fwiw.

Wonder if it was pulled down or is being revised.

Try this

Reading thru it a bit, I'll prolly goto bed soon tho. At the bottom of page 2 tho it reads "Mr Steele himself was considered reliable due to his past work with the FBI". He's not some wacko private investigator HRC found in a phone book.

So, let's recap: An experienced FBI informant has dirt on a guy who's been known to have Russia ties since 2013. And the FBI beleives him &  puts him under surveillance.

Also, it seems Republicans are drastically distancing themselves from Trumps innocence & doubling down on the direction that the FISA warrant was wrongfully obtained on a technicality. Am I right here?  Only way out with this now is the Saturday Night Massacre. (I still say he missed him moment doing it Saturday morning before the SB. With the games outcome, plus, with the Market crash, then rebounding a bit it woulda been his best chance at trying to bury it in the news & skate by)

It also says it was noted in footnotes 8 & 18. Which means there were likely at least 18 different footnotes to the application. Pretty extensive.

Read thru it mostly. Really nothing 'new' versus the Nunes Memo (#DudMemo). It just expounds on the matters & keeps alot of the legalese in to piss off Trumps constituents & annoy them with the lawyer-speak.

Why are you reposting what I already posted.  Lol. Just like when I did it, it will be ignored.

This is worse, because he is a man of power within our congress.
