Re: Robin/Tommy demos
TRACK THREE: TOMMY DEMO ONE I’VE HEARD BEFORE.
SO.
I used to be on another GnR forum years ago. ChineseDemocracy.com. There was a guy who sent me a load of songs by GnR and other people in the GnR camp solo.
This was labelled Motormouth Rough. It sounded very poor, and he said he’d recorded it from someone’s stereo.
Guys, I think this might well be Motormouth. The version I heard had some poor sound on it, and wasn’t very clear. But this matches up. Might not be Motormouth but this is the same sounds. The lyrics are very similar. The similarity I heard was the lower bass bit, that sounded like The Chain.
No lies. No BS here. This was recorded again and rumoured to be on Burnout Paradise:
Also, anyone else hear Axl on the backing vocals?

Not sure where half those confirmed titles come from either. Worth pointing out that jarmo lists Strange Disease for example as a fake title.

Re: Robin/Tommy demos
Inside Out
Very interesting. Major potential. That intro reminds me of something from Talking Heads
3$
What's there to say?Tommy demo 1
Not my cup of tea at all. Still cool to hear.
Tommy demo 2
Rough demo of Going Down. Nuff said.
Thanks for the info Bucketheader. It doesn't surprise me people heard it before. These songs have been in circulation for eons.
No worries. I wish Chinese.com was still around. I do remember some of this song. Listen to the bit that says “wish that you’d have known....” and before that, it’s like The Chain by Fleetwood Mac almost, then it goes into full on raucous rock. Now go play a burnout game with this on. It works. I’m not even clutching at straws. I’ve heard this fucker before. About 5 years or so ago I ditched the laptop with it on. Thought nothing of it. FUCK!

You can call B U L L S H I T all you like.
What is it you don’t know?
Also.....how is it a song called Broken has been confirmed by Frank, not Axl, and that’s a source. Yet Richard Fortus spoke about this song called Motormouth. And then it reared up again on MyGnR

Axl was asked about Motormouth in the forum chats and confirmed it as fake. That's good enough for me. The Fortus interview was never properly sourced either... because it was fake.

Was it? He also said a lot of other stuff that didn’t pan out too. Do you think he sat there the whole time with song lists when we asked him? Seriously. I have heard this song before, labelled as Motormouth Rough. I also had some Village Gorilla head songs not labelled, but obviously found out later that’s what they were.
So what do we call this DEMO?! It’s not Monstrosity, it’s clearly not Bite Your Tongue, it’s definitely not Going Down. Go on then, give an answer. Because I’m the only one coming up with plausible straws.
Give us a straw oh mighty Axl S.
We’re waiting.

Didn't claim to be mighty. Just saying the Fortus interview where this song is mentioned has been debunked and Axl confirmed it as fake in forum chats. Anyway dude this thread is getting derailed now, so I'm leaving this alone now.

Here’s the thing. Maybe if people like to argue, and not go “oh hey, that’s actually an interesting thought there!” then we can maybe build a better timeline.
How do you know that Motormouth wasn’t circulated at one point. A song called REAL DOLL DOT COM is a fucking title, which is stupid as fuck, yet something as plausible as the title motormouth:
Motormouth
1. A person who talks too fast and too much. The fast talker won't wait for a break in the conversation, they just overtalk everyone else.
2. A bad actress who rushes her lines because she's afraid of forgetting them.
Verb
motormouth (third-person singular simple present motormouths, present participle motormouthing, simple past and past participle motormouthed)
(intransitive, informal) To talk very fast or incessantly.
Now give a definition of.....real doll dot com. ???
