Democrats are lucky Pence is not atop the ticket. He’s a million times the politician Trump is. He uses a scalpel and gets right to the point while Trump comes in with a sledgehammer and destroys everything around him, even himself. I find it fascinating how divergent their styles and demeanors are. It’s hard to believe they even get along.
Most assessments probably are going to give him the edge. I don’t think you can discount the fact that he repeatedly, almost on every question, talked over the moderator and Kamala. She did it too, but far less. As the only dude with two women, steamrolling them isn’t an ideal look when their campaign is hurting with women.
Overall, this probably doesn’t really move the needle but probably stopped the Trump campaign hemorrhaging. Good showing from Pence.
