You rate Bad higher than Thriller?:nervous:

80's was great, although I can see why some would hate various aspects of it. Pop pretty much ruled the roost through the entire decade, and pretty much influenced everything.

In no paticular order(except AFD)

AFD - Gn'R
Joshua Tree - U2
Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me - the Cure
Pretty Hate Machine - Nine Inch Nails
Doolittle - the Pixies
Boy - U2
Centerfield - John Fogerty
The Head on the Door - The Cure
Hysteria - Def Leppard
Songs from the Big Chair - Tears for Fears

*note: Dr. Feelgood - Motley Crue was on my list but it got knocked out after reviewing James' list and realising I left out Songs from the Big Chair.

Again as always tough to narrow it down.

Had U2 made my list, it would've been Rattle and Hum.

yeah Rattle and Hum was  sweet but I dont' really count it. it's too much of a mix mash of live songs and new songs. It's U2's bigger version of Lies haha.  Live albums to me don't really count. Mostly cause I didnt' wanna put 2 live Cure albums on my best of the 90's list haha.

Oh and you're already a  fool James for forgetting Achtung Baby on your 90's list tongue But it's o.k. cause I'm a huge fool as well having Dr. Feelgood on my list before Songs from the Big Chair. I corrected that mistake 14 Tears for Fears again were so great and their songs(pretty much everyone on that album) trigger huge memories for me. It's weird how music does that. U2 and Gn'R rarely if every trigger memories but say a band like Smashing Pumpkins, who I like but isn't in my top ten, triggers an insane amount of memories from my highschool years. More so than any other band. Its' weird.

I've never been a Thriller fan. I know that Bad is more pop, but when I was 11-13, I heard that album like once in every day, thanks to my brother. I got it know note to note, and like it almost note to note smile

As for the 80s... I think rock was so weak back then (in general), that even Boney M made better albums than most of the rock bands.:/  Unfortunately after the glorious 90s, rock is in another sad state today hmm

Sadly I cannpt name 10 80s albums I like... I can name about 4 that I like... other than that it's just "Greatest Hits" albums from bands primarily from the 80s.

Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA
