Re: Perhaps (2023) to Drop
I like the video, didn't see that coming at all
The video's great. This is basically what the Better video was originally intended to be – a nice showcase of all the members of the band, including Fortus, Dizzy, Melissa and Frank. Clever use of the soundcheck footage to get around the problem you often have with these "live footage of a song they haven't played yet" thing – the band are actually seen singing the correct lyrics.

Explains the film crew they had in Europe, some of the shots in the video were also in the Facebook video's they been putting out

The Better video ended up being completely fucked 'cos they wanted to introduce the current line-up (Bumblefoot etc) while also showcasing the significant contributions of those who'd left (like Buckethead). But then Finck and Brain upped and left too, and so suddenly they had this video introducing… five guitarists and two drummers. Which didn't really help the "revolving door" narrative, or the "Axl can't find anyone good enough to replace Slash" naysaying.
Anyway, yes: Perhaps. Don't they all look like one big happy family in it?

Re: Perhaps (2023) to Drop
Actually while we're on the subject of the current line-up, can we get some new emoji in here? The Axl one still has the 2010 pornstar 'tache, and we have emoji for Ashba and Bumblefoot but not Melissa?

Re: Perhaps (2023) to Drop
Sorry to rain on everyone’s parade here, but I just feel like the release of Perhaps is a summation of everything that is wrong with GN’R today. Axl in control of everything, hence the song only has one verse and one chorus repeated, then Slash phones it in for the solo, then they put out an actual accompanying video that looks pretty damn good, even though the song itself is pretty average, and still they haven’t actually acknowledged the release or even said anything officially. It’s like they just let the hardcore fans look into it all and find out about it ourselves. It’s either genius marketing from Team Brazil, or completely shithouse marketing. And I’m leaning towards shithouse…

The video is very cool. It's nice to have GNR more functional again.
I notice
John 5 and Tommy Lee rolling with Frank and Fortus. Love to see some Motley/GNR shows happen together if they can forget the 1980s beef.
