SEL which is pretty much just the North America branch of Sony Electronics.
Anyway I can get a PS3 on the cheap like say less than £200 which is basically less than $400 dollars.

Being in the games industry, I'm really curious about what made you go that route.
Reasons for me:
1. Blu-ray
2. Openness of the system (mp3, aac, m4a, mpeg, ... vs wm* for media files, for example)
3. Free online experience
4. XMB vs Xbox IU
5. Bluetooth vs Prorpietary system
6. Integrated battery vs AA batteries in controller
7. USB vs "Memory Cards"
8. Possibility to upgrade hard drive with a bog standard laptop disk
9. "Install Other OS" option (I'm a linux freak)
10. Resistance: Fall Of Men
