I hope they didn't play any of these in Holland a couple of weeks ago. At one point I though Reo Speedwagon had hijacked the stage.

They've guaranteed that I download the album for free. Artists, including those like Metallica that are established, have to start embracing the internet and understand its culture or they're going to dig themselves deep into irrelevancy.

I wasn't really sure what to think at first, but now I do think that it's a "nice" title for the album.

The riff during the video was nothing but awesome too.

Not the worst album title I've heard of. While I'm looking forward to hearing this, I'm not allowing myself to get excited.

Well, the title is certainly unusual.
I quite like what I hear on that little teaser video though.

There's been some reviews (Kerrang, Metal Hammer magazines) circulating the net recently from a new album listening session and so far they've been getting pretty positive reviews.

Love the title and the music actually sounds half decent for a change! Nice to see they remembered Kirk Hammett is in the band - that solo sounds killer. Just hope it doesnt come out featuring a dvd of Rob Trujillo's absurd crab walk. This may actually turn out to be pretty good.

Good work on the promo as well, its great to actually be kept informed of stuff.

When does it actually come out though?! Cant wait for this. But then again I was straight to the shops to  get St Anger on release day - To buy it, and to take it back.

Re: METALLICA Discussion

The actual album will be released in September, while a single most likely will be dropped onto Earth in July/August.

They will begin to play new material live next month during the second leg of their tour in Europe, according to James Hetfield.

And, yeah... It's official that it's going to kick maximum ass.

Looking forward to this...I think the new line up has a LOT of potential...and if they arn't afraid of solos...could really be good stuff.
