A new GNR style song perfected 17 years earlier.....

I heard this song today on my way home and it reminded me of a new GNR song with the piano and a guitar virtuoso on guitar. Only difference is that this song was focused, the band had chemistry, and the guitar solo fit the song. I could Imagine Axl coming up with a very similar sound, which maybe shows this music isn't so new anyway... Thoughts?

This song should be the warm up song for Axl's management in the negotiations to release this album.. Right Now.

Van fucking Hagar? They didn't perfect anything. I guess I do see your point, since these sessions weren't as bombastic as we all thought, and definitely seems geared towards the soccer moms of the world. Had this album been released about 6 or 7 years ago it would've made a killing on the easy listening/adult contemporary charts. Now it'll have little impact because we've heard it all before and its obvious to even Joe and Jill public.

They'll play Mellow My Mind long before they play The Blues.

From what I can tell going by what we heard, Axl was really aiming for a different(and more mature) audience with this material. This wasn't geared towards teens, college age, hardcores,etc. It was geared towards 40 year old couples spooning in their hammocks.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a cover of Barry Manilow's "Ready to Take a Chance Again" on this album.

The few songs with the harder sound were aimed at people like us.
