I'd love to come play in Poland, all around the country - but I should probably stick around and see where the Chi-Dem negotiations go, before making plans to do a solo tour.

This is Axl's baby. Period. The supporting cast wont know whats up with the record until its released. They wont even know which songs they are on until the album comes out.
Why should they know any of that? Its not their decision.
I don't think he should be slighted for not knowing exactly where negotiations are.He cant know details like that because it has nothing to do with him. He's an employee on a salary. Nobody is negotiating with him.

Yeah, he has gave tidbits of info in the past, but this is crunch time. The only people that are likely in the loop at this point is Axl, Azoff, and Iovine. Everyone else is on a "need to know" basis, and there probably isn't much they need to know.
He does give the best interviews from the current lineup. Gotta give credit when its due.
