Re: Slash reveals solo album details
Jizz Da Pitt makes me want Slash to stick to songs with vocals. We all have our wish lists for vocalists to appear with him, I guess, but if it's a variety of sounds and not just a variety of names I'll be pleased regardless of who.
I don't have high expectations for this since both VR albums are bad imo. But Snakepit 1 was great, and Snakepit 2 lacked a singer, and needed different style production and it would've been great too.
Isn't demoing 14 tracks like saying he just started? Even if he finished all of them, wouldn't there only be like 5-6 album worthy track there? I'd like to hear a number more like 30 this early in the process. And I hope he lets one or two singers write a song, and then just adds a solo or a riff.

when he's working with multiple musicians i don't think it's the regular 'write 50 songs and pick the best 15 for the album' type of recording.
let's assume he's got steven tyler as a guest, i doubt the two will sit down recording and writing 4-5 songs and picking up a couple of them, i think they'll write one song and record it and that's it. that goes for everybody else that's to appear on this album. so you only get demos from the songs on the album. i might be wrong though
Re: Slash reveals solo album details
There's the obvious suspects like Fergie, Lenny Kravtitz, Perry Farrell, maybe a Linda Perry, but the guy I would like most to see Slash record a song with is Tom Keifer from Cinderella. Hopefully, Keifer still has some pipes, cause that could be a killer ballad.
