It was considered before the release announcement. Not the exact GNR countdown, but a code that would have installed a similar countdown. Once a bunch of other sites went with the countdown immediately after the announcement, we decided against using one.

I would just laugh.  14 or 17 years of wait depending on how you look at this and you get it and nothing inside.  That'd be worth me buying a second copy for sure.  You'd just have to laugh admit it.
