Now that Mariah Carey has taken to the stage: Pitman said something about this not being true (screenshots were posted). But some say he wouldn't let on on a performance if it was meant to be a surprise?

What, is he posting from backstage? That doesn't make sense. If they were going to perform, he has better things to do than refute forum rumors.
Let it die. They ain't playing. Every frickin' one of these rumors, except for the 2002 VMAs, has turned out to be crap.

My thoughts are there's nothing to it. Why the fuck is Pitman on the Internet if there's allegedly a performance coming up. LMFAO.

Apparently this was a day or two ago. Mind you, Del James or someone did send out some bulletins or something from backstage in 2006 IIRC - so it can happen, but not this time.
Doubt GN'R will be performing either myself. That's why I would be so angry if this turns out to be true - I am quite busy and wasted effectively a large part of an evening for this. Oh, well.... We Guns fans are mad anyway. 'The longest suffering fans on the planet or something'? (bar Brian Wilson's....:haha:)
We both have something to Smile about anyway, I guess.
