It would be cool, but I highly doubt it.  Even if Axl doesnt plan on a reunion anytime in the future, you still save the collaboration for when it finally happens.  If they were to do it now, and they reunited in the future as GnR, the effect would be watered down and noone would care as much.

Depends on how you define 'work' with.  He could fuck the shit out of her in the studio recording the noises and use them on some song. 

I don't want to hear Fergie singing on a Slash song.  I don't like her.
