Re: Guitar Hero World Tour
Back around Christmas time, I got RB: Beatles-bundle, GH: Metallica, and Rock Band--AC/DC: Live.
My favorite was GH: Metallica. Solid setlist, and additional songs from Alice In Chains, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd & Thin Lizzy just added to it. My kind of stuff.
Beatles, conceptually was amazing in scope. Very rich gaming experience, and quite a few Beatles classics scattered throughout... but... I think it could've been deeper. Some obvious hits were missing, and left a bit to be desired.
AC/DC was a bonus track pack thing, but every AC/DC hit you could want to play is there. Only draw back, is the extended live segments were thrown into the game, and in places you're just kinda sitting there waiting for the game to speed up.
I haven't really gotten around to the new GH games. I still desperately want to get Rock Band 2, and download that Chinese Democracy album from PS3-DLC. Really want that bad, but I keep holding out. Used, RB2 I can get for about $20 bucks, then the CD download is another $20 bucks, so i'd basically be paying $40 bucks for CD on RB2, because short of a couple trx, i'm not overly impressed with RB2's setlist.
As for these games, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS more fun with a band. Even if it's just someone on vocals, and someone on drums, can be enough. I'm almost always handling vocal duties. I guess most people I know can't sing worth a damn.
