Re: Bitter, Snowblind Weiland Badmouths Axl (Again)
yeah but if you are a celeb on stage you should know better than to make a small remark like that. He isn't at home in his lounge room.
Re: Bitter, Snowblind Weiland Badmouths Axl (Again)
Thanks
It's really odd that he would do so IMO too. I mean he really needs to get over it. Without getting too much into the Axl > Scott fanboy debate...just on anylevel - what is his issue with Axl? The VR boys are not currently playing with Axl. And scott is not in VR anymore. He currently has no connection to Axl or to anyone who used to have a connection to Axl. So move the fuck on already.
Actually I guess he's sensitive about it because the VR guys likened his bad behaviour to Axl at one stage...but it's just really lame of him. Just makes him look weak IMO.
I don't think there has ever been any beef between Scott and Axl in the past (prior to Scott being in VR).
In fact, back in early STP days, Scott said he liked GNR and he got the idea for the vocals on Sex Type Thing from It's So Easy.

The 2003 show? He might have, i can't remember.
I do remember reading in an STP interview where he was talking about STT and mentioned that as well.
you're prolly right...he does like to tell the same story's over again...but i remember the first VR gig, El Rey Theatre ...before ISE he tells the crowd that "this song influenced my writing of STT" or something along those lines

As Lester Bangs would say, "Scott Weiland? He's a drunken buffoon!"
