Starting to look like a repeat of 2002 is in the cards and when the train derails this time, I'm jumping off at the moment of impact.
This is worse than 02 IMO.

Tommy leaving would be a harsh blow to GNR in my opinion. One hit they can't afford to take right now.

yeah but with every bad thing kills whatever chance of a US tour... no promoter is gonna touch GNR here with what has already went down. Axl is maybe hurting his lawsuit as well cause they can say they aren't booking GNR due to risks.. and then point to some of this stuff as evidence.
When 3 out of your first 4 shows are enveloped with controversy..thats not good.
Peeps always say that, and then they still tour. It probably just means they have a higher deductible for their insurance, or require higher premiums etc. Everybody wants one thing: Money.

I'm sick of seeing this guys essay. I tried reading it first this morning when GNR twitter linked to it and couldnt finish it, its just very poor writing. I'm glad the guy loved the show and all that, and he's perfectly entitled to post his review of course, no harm in it at all. I just think his writing skills suck and I really dunno why people keep re-posting it everywhere as if its a work of literary genious.
I find it pretentious dribble and it still hurts my eyes now as much as it did on my first attempt to read it. Sorry
Yea, it's a total puff piece. A literary circle jerk of an article. I couldn't make it past the first few sentences. It's actually embarrassing too.

As usually when things go a little tits up, the haters on here come out guns blazing...
Haters, lol...what an immature way of looking at things. Let me say something, that very few people ever say on these forums. The notion that I must hold one opinion or another on this band is ridiculous. I love GNR, and have been a fan for 24 yrs now. But does that also mean I am not welcome to voice my displeasure of what I feel is Axl's lack of professionalism as a performer? Who made this inane unspoken rule that we all must abide by no matter which forum we visit? We can only be "For Axl" or "Against Axl", there is no middle ground (which is where most people stand in the real world, regardless of the subject.)
There are aspects I may like about a person, and others personality traits I do not. However this does not mean I don't want to be their friend, it simply means I won't invite them over for dinner anymore because they are always late and ruin the party.
I don't see why this is such a difficult concept to grasp for the GNR community as a whole, and frankly it makes so many of them look downright childish. Yes I love GNR. No I don't like the way Axl acts as a person sometimes. Yes I loved the new band for nearly a decade and was a huge supporter of that incarnation. No I don't like them as much as the old band anymore. Yes I can't wait to see GnR in concert again. No I don't think it's cool to make me wait. On and on and on....Not a tough concept.
People may have different opinions than you, however that does not negate their right to express them simply because you deem them "Haters." Why can't a fan express their discontent with how a band or band member carried themselves? Why should anybody have to adhere to this stupid rule put forth by a group of zealots (ummm, nerds) anyway? I can't think of anything less rock n' roll then playing along with a bunch of forum dweebs as not to upset their little world.

There's only one camp Neemo. Axl broke curfew so they cut his set short. End of Story. It's on nobody else but Axl. Late start, long set who cares. He broke the curfew nobody else. If people are in the camp that thinks the promoters are somewhat at fault then I think those people have lost their grasp on reality.
I know, it's unreal.
