converting cassettes to digital

Anyone got suggestions on how I can record some of my old audio cassettes to a digital format?

I did that once! I had my PC sound going thru an old stereo with a cassette player on it. I reverted the cables around, and I could make into WAV files

That's exactly how I did it.

But look around, sometimes others have already done it. You alot of times can find MP3's for CD's, of old tapes & LP's already floating around on the internet.

I borrowed my brothers old cassette deck he had for his old stacking system, I'm amazed he still has it. The tapes I want to convert are old live dj mixes of me from when I was young playing at local raves, so I cant get them anywhere except off me!
I've caved in and joined the facebook generation and been chatting with some of the guys from those days, it would be fun to share the tapes with them.
