Re: Call the election

I agree, I'm just not sure about VA. If Virginia goes blue Election night is over at 7:30.
I kept hearing everybody talking about Ohio was the big decider. I realized VA was back in play a couple of weeks ago and felt that actually could be the biggy. If Obama could pick up VA then he wouldn't even need OH. Ironically that didn't get called until much later anyway.
I realized by about 9:30-10 that Romney would need to pick up about 5/7 swing states to win. Once I saw this, I knew it was over, I just wasn't sure how. At that point I assumed (incorrectly) that Ohio wouldn't be called for a long time. Because of this I figured Obama would win by calling states like NV, CO (now trending blue) and IA. But before I knew it I saw Iowa and then Ohio. Crazy, just crazy. I never would have guessed a win this big. I guess that leads me to ask, why did he win this big?
I can't believe he won Florida. Just mind blowing. Best moment of the night:
Murdoch, Joe Walsh, Allen West, Aiken getting beat. Of course, West is refusing to concede.

Nah, best moment was seeing Karl Rove discredited by Fox News of all people. The man had some billionaire donors lined up to try to buy the election. They spent $300m in Ohio alone. He simply could not believe it when Fox called Ohio for Obama. He also made a complete idiot of himself when he brought up a Republican county that "still has 50,000 votes to go" even though the urban areas of the state had barely been counted (hence Fox News calling it for Obama). Karl Rove is the new Baghdad Bob and hopefully this asshole will disappear from our country's politics.
Re: Call the election
^^ I've only seen snippets of this, but I heard that it was bad enough that the news anchor took a camera crew to the Fox News Think Tank that decides when to give a state to a candidate to explain why they were calling the state and Karl still refused to accept it.
I think it had a lot to do with his own outside money group that spent all that money and didn't get anything to show for it. It looks bad on him and American Crossroads future.
