Update (June 21, 10:10 A.M.): A representative from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department gave Vanity Fair the following statement regarding the documents:
Some of the documents appear to be copies of reports that were authored by Sheriff’s Office personnel as well as evidentiary photographs taken by Sheriff’s Office personnel interspersed with content that appears to be obtained off the Internet or through unknown sources. The Sheriff’s Office did not release any of the documents and/or photographs to the media. The Sheriff’s Office released all of its reports and the photographs as part of the required discovery process to the prosecution and the defense.

I read through the documents (quickly) as well. None were classified as child porn that I saw. They claimed most of it was for "Grooming purposes."
There were books with nude children, but it was under the context of nudity in general, men/women/children. Lots of "barely legal" mags, trannies, gay stuff (adult men), and S&M themed porn. There were photos of children, but the detectives still didn't define them as child pornography. I couldn't find anything about animal torture or gore. Not that there wasn't, I went through it pretty quickly and my eyes were getting tired.
If it's an accurate report it seemed he was smart enough to keep his child nudity to more "art" based books that were quite a bit older. That way he could probably claim he was a collector of vintage nudes etc. My guess anyway...

Yeah I used to defend him.
I figured he was damaged in some way - like actually a bit mentally slow maybe and still considered himself a kid so didn't follow why as an adult you can't have sleepovers in the same bed and that of craziness that was nuts but maybe different from actually wanting to have sex with kids.
Wasn't too far fetched to me considering there's other evidence of mental problems - like his plastic surgery and so on.
But this takes the cake - can't see any reason he'd have this stuff other than full on being a pedophile and using it for grooming and all that.
The animal torture stuff is pretty disturbing too - that seems his problems are even worse just being a pedophile alone.
Goes to show the complexity of life I guess, that someone can be so talented artistically, yet also have such horrible issues.
You can be all those things and still be a menace to society.

Like I get the cases involving molesting the children would be hard to prove and he has a lot of money.

It could be how they collected the material? Perhaps he had lawyers who were able to go through everything with a fine tooth comb and declare it inadmissible?
Not a chance imo. Something like that would be akin to a murder weapon in a homicide case. There's no lawyer who can get that dismissed barring some legitimate circumstances. Far as I know that was not the case in the Jackson trial.
I read some of these documents, and the first one states "not considered cp", so does the next, and the next. Looks and smells like sensationalism.
Far as Jackson goes I never got a pedo vibe from him. Nor have I ever seen any conclusive evidence he is one.
I'm always very skeptical when the establishment wants to bring down a guy promoting peace and love in his music, you know, good stuff.

Come on now. If the sleepovers weren't convincing enough, what about him being a "lover of all children"(or whatever he called himself) but only associated with boys in a certain age group?
I think his song P.Y.T. was his way of coming out without actually coming out.
I'm gonna read that document tonight and see if I can find any of this stuff about animals. That was the shocker in this article. We knew about the other stuff. He had animals at Neverland. Had children there too.....those are some easily connected dots.

Yeah he may have known exactly what was considered legal...such as that stuff about "morphing" kids faces on adult bodies. Is it legal? I guess. Is it still pretty damn disturbing? Yes. The only thing that morphing crap has going for it in this case is there's no actual victims.
What I don't get is why he wasn't prosecuted for having that stuff itself.

I was just going to say the same thing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why he'd like to invite boys of a certain age and look into his bed. It still blows me away that so many people are willing to bury their head in the sand and just write him off as some harmless kook who never grew up. The things people are willing to overlook when it comes to celebrity.
On another note, I saw a lot of parallels with him and Jerry Sandusky.

One thing about him that clinched it for me is the Brooke Shields story. She was a virgin, wanted MJ to pop her cherry, went out with him to an awards show, he runs into Webster, leaves Brooke there, and parties all night with Webster. This was the early 80s...long before anyone suspected this shit. It should've raised red flags....in the least some gay accusations. If you're a straight(or even bi) guy you don't pass up fucking Brooke Shields.
To make matters worse, when the allegations started he said that he had been with her which caused her to have to deny it. He never should've put her in that position. It also showed that even though it had been 10 years, he couldn't think of one single woman to tell the media he slept with other than her. Crazy.
hell, bang some teen groupie once just so there's a story out there in circulation. The reason why he never did is because he's only into boys.

I don't really care tbh. I can separate the person from the art. I like a lot of his art; I couldn't care less about the person. None of this should really shock anyone or change what they already felt about him.
